Founded 1988 in Golden, Colorado. Epilog laser machines are designed, assembled, and QA-tested in-house — not re-badged from offshore OEMs. 50,000+ systems shipped to 90+ countries, supported by a fully staffed Golden depot and a regional distributor network.
We started Epilog because we believed the laser engraver market deserved published, measurable performance data rather than glossy throughput claims. Four decades later that discipline still defines how we ship every machine: thermopile calibration, beam profiler sweep, raster repeatability test, serialized test sheet — no exceptions.
Our Golden facility sits at the foot of Table Mountain, Colorado. Every CO2 tube, fiber source, galvo head, and motion stage we ship is characterized here before it leaves our loading dock. When we say "published beam data", we mean the data printed inside the serial-numbered test sheet that ships with the machine.
Founders Mike Dean and Ron Kanarowski begin designing the first Epilog CO2 laser engraver in a Golden, CO workshop, prioritizing published beam stability over marketing specs.
The Epilog 8000 introduces Ethernet job queuing and becomes the baseline platform for sign shops and awards dealers across North America.
Epilog Helix 24 raises standard bed size to 24” × 18” and introduces the air-assist pump as a factory option. It remains one of the most-referenced "epilog laser helix" deployments in industry forums two decades later.
Epilog launches FiberMark with IPG fiber sources, extending Epilog laser machine capability to metals traceability, medical UDI, and aerospace part identification.
Fusion Pro combines a sealed CO2 RF tube with an IPG fiber source in one cabinet, adding the IRIS camera alignment system. Released in 32” and 48” bed configurations.
"Epilog laser fusion M2" introduces a refreshed motion system and expanded pulse-tuned fiber range. FiberMark S2 updates the galvo platform with 7,000 mm/s marking speed.
Every Epilog system still ships out of Golden, Colorado. The support depot stocks parts for every platform Epilog has ever produced — Helix, Fusion, Fusion Pro, FiberMark, Zing, EXT, and legacy Epilog 8000.
Each platform is engineered in-house; no re-badging. Mechanical, optical, and electrical sub-systems undergo HALT (highly accelerated life testing) before production release.
Cabinets are welded and powder-coated within 30 miles of our facility. Electronics assembly and source integration happen under ISO 9001:2015 controls in Golden.
Thermopile power measurement + beam profiler sweep + raster repeatability test. Results are serialized into the shipping test sheet.
Same-day ship on stocked SKUs, 48-hour continental-US parts window, 5-year CO2 tube warranty option, and a direct Golden support line for the life of the machine.
