This is a driver-side issue, typically caused by an unsupported font substitution in CorelDRAW or Illustrator. Convert the text to curves/outlines before sending the job, or update to the latest Epilog Suite driver. Full diagnostic walkthrough is in our engineering notes.
Epilog laser frequency setting operates between 100 Hz and 5,000 Hz for CO2, and is exposed per-job in the driver. Use high frequency (2,500–5,000 Hz) for cleaner raster engraving, low frequency (100–500 Hz) for perforated cuts. Refer to the Materials Library for a starting point per substrate.
All CO2 platforms (Helix, Fusion, Zing) must be ducted to atmosphere or paired with a filtered extractor. In North America, the FA-200 Epilog laser fume extractor is the common choice because its HEPA + activated-carbon stack is sized for acrylic, wood, and coated-metal fumes typical of the catalog.
